Thought for the Day – Not Alone

And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8

Confidence in the Lord is a wonderful thing for a believer! I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my Lord and Saviour walks with me and will never forsake me! Glory! I have nothing to fear! Yes, I have falled – many times! However, my Saviour gently picks me up! He gives me a verse in His word or the Pastor says exactly what I need to read!

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. Psalms 37:23-24

One can’t be “picked up” if one doesn’t have the habit of reading the scriptures. It is here that we meet our gentle Shepherd! There is something for everyone in every situation of life! How can we be lifted if we are not in the scriptures? It is here that we meet the Master and He teaches us, amen?

The Lord would not allow salvation to come into our lives and then just leave us to ourselves. He is the gentle Shepherd who loves us and cares for us. I would not leave home to go on a trip without my trusted GPS. God’s words are my spiritual GPS, guiding me along my path. He loves me – He desires good for me – He leads me!

Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. 24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Psalms 73:23-24
